HOW THE BAND WAS FORMED: Progression X is a jazz trio based in Denver, Co. Drummer Dino Cuneo had searched for a couple years for a power trio to sweep the Denver jazz scene. He was invited to a local recording studio for a music mixer in hopes of cultivating a larger network of professional musicians to work with. He was introduced to bassist Richy Weber, who had been looking for the same thing. The two musicians got on the stage and started jamming together and they realized they had to put together a jazz project. They both started looking for a third member to complete the trio and through multiple interviews, singer/pianist Natalie Ottobrino was contacted and went to Dino's studio to audition. The third member was found, and the trio was formed. In a matter of six practices they recorded five songs together and honed down a style that only seasoned professionals can do. The trio played a number of shows together and for unseen reasons, Richy had to leave the group. Gigs were set in place and fortunately they were able to have some exceptional bassist's fill in while they kept searching for the final member of the trio. Natalie had worked with Tim Carmichael a solid name in the jazz industry and when the three got together and jammed, they knew that the right bassist had been found... They are available for all occasions, large or small, as this trio captivates all audiences.
